Every year Pantone declares “color of the year” which most of the fashion designers and consumer based products use as a guide for their future products. Late 2014 Pantone declared the color of 2015 as Marsala, which is reddish-brown hue named after the Sicilian wine. It made its appearance on runway for Louis Vuitton and Dries Van Noten spring ’15 collections. Which is to say you’ll be seeing a lot more of it in the months to follow. Now it’s the right time to start adding this must have hue to your wardrobe. Here are some of my favorite pieces in marsala. I will be pairing these with black and navy for work or mustard for a brunch date. What do you think of the color? How are you going to wear it?
